Senior Associate

Job Description:

Stronghold Resource Partners is seeking candidates for the role of Senior Associate. The position will provide strategic support surrounding various investment opportunities across multiple U.S. basins. An entrepreneurial approach to delivering financial analysis of the highest quality is required. Candidates should also possess the capacity to create and maintain business relationships resulting in short-term growth of the Stronghold’s investment pipeline and long-term commitments to new teams and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and present new investment opportunities to the investment team
  • Conduct primary research on energy industry trends
  • Provide analytical and strategic support to portfolio companies
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities
  • Build robust financial models in support of transaction underwriting and structuring
  • Support transaction negotiations and manage partner relationships

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and strong academic record from a premier university
  • Three to five years of financial work experience
  • Minimum of one year at a leading investment management firm
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Financial modeling skills and proven analytical capabilities
  • Intellectual curiosity and high personal and professional moral code

Lease Analyst

Job Description:

Stronghold Resource Partners is seeking candidates for the role of Lease Analyst. The position will provide accurate information about leasehold and mineral assets including net acreage amounts of leasehold, mineral interests, and contractual provisions and obligations. Capacity to learn various regulatory frameworks as they relate to drilling and production units in multiple states is required. Candidates should also possess the ability to review a high volume of documents and clearly capture data resulting in the creation of valuable company information.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze leases and other contracts to accurately reflect company position
  • Identify leasehold obligations and ensure steps taken for compliance
  • Conduct due diligence on a broad range of title issues
  • Make recommendations to multi-disciplinary team regarding lease maintenance
  • Assist in title curative matters

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Lease Analyst
  • Highly skilled in analyzing common leasehold provisions
  • Experience in resolving complex title issues
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Texas and Oklahoma regulatory systems and unit structures

Landman

Job Description:

Stronghold Resource Partners is seeking candidates for the role of Landman. The position will work with multiple departments to facilitate the acquisition and divestiture of assets in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess excellent negotiation skills coupled with an ability to analyze a high volume of transactions. An ability to create contracts and clearly communicate obligations to the team is also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate upstream business transactions, including leasehold acquisitions and trades
  • Create and negotiate contractual agreements with exceptional business acumen
  • Coordinate with multiple departments in process of acquiring assets and protecting company position
  • Manage multiple brokers on a daily basis
  • Assist in integration of multiple applications designed to capture asset data
  • Communicate issues involving title and contractual disputes to team and assist in resolution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Energy Management preferred
  • Minimum of four years of experience as a landman
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Texas and Oklahoma regulatory systems and unit structures
  • Team player exemplifying high personal and professional moral code

Accounting Manager / Controller

Job Description:

Stronghold Resource Partners is seeking candidates for the role of Accounting Manager / Controller. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment with a focus on process improvement and scalability as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping, recordkeeping and general ledger maintenance for various fund, investment and operating entities
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual reporting and financial statements
  • Bank reconciliations and cash management
  • Preparation of accounts payable and related documentation
  • Implement process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience working for or with a family office, hedge fund, private equity fund, or fund administrator is preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and strong analytical skills
  • CPA is a plus but not required
  • High proficiency with Excel and Word is expected; familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, discreet, and trustworthy
  • Must have a strong work ethic, demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team player and independently, and possess the flexibility necessary to engage in all functional and administrative aspects of an accounting role
